# BURIALS: 2 GRAVE SHAPE: Rectangular AZIMUTH: 10 W LENGTH: 1.75
WIDTH: 2 GRAVE ARCHITECTURE: None CERAMICS: In situ & fill PALETTE: None found
OTHER: In situ COMMENTS: Ivory; alabaster; carnelian. A & B here. The field record on the burials is lacking and the diagram, Figure 87 a, omits them. The photographs, Figure 87 b, d and e, indicate that there were five burials, represented by five skulls. One body B lies in normal contracted position on left side, head south, somewhat east of center, and appears to be intact. Figure 87 b, d. To the east of B is an isolated skull A without other remains of the body. To the west of B are three more skulls out of place, as well as the legs and other parts, more or less in position, of three bodies in the usual position. Figure 87 e. Figure 87 b, made before complete clearing of the grave, shows that in the northwest corner the burials and some of the pottery had been covered with upper matting. There are no notes on condition of the bodies, clothing or mattings. Ed.
